FREED
Now
it s time to say good bye,
and
lighten up my load;
Pay
off all my worldly debts,
so
I may hit the road.
Give
way what I do not want,
take
only what I need;
Honor
my commitments,
so
at last I'm finally freed.
Free
to go where the wind may take me,
in
my mind or upon the land;
Detached
from the weight of attachment,
mindful
of who I am.
Who
am I, but who I am,
I’m
me, myself, and I;
Not
the people I’m with, fame, friends, lovers, or wealth,
but
me, the Spirit of this guy.
So
mindful I am, and mindful I’ll be,
conscious
of creating further bonds;
Except
the joining of my Spirit,
with
the Spirit to which all life belongs.
